The Bank of New York to Host Seminar on its Investor Services Businesses

NEW YORK, July 11, 2006 -- The Bank of New York Company, Inc. announced today that it will hold an investor seminar focused on its investor services businesses on Wednesday, July 26, 2006, beginning at 2:00 p.m. EDT. Company President Gerald L. Hassell will host the seminar, which will include presentations by Timothy F. Keaney, senior executive vice president and head of global investor services; Patrick E. Curtin, executive vice president of U.S. investor services; Thomas V. Ford, executive vice president of securities lending; and Richard F. Mahoney, executive vice president of global markets. The seminar will include information about the Company, its businesses and future outlook.
