The Bank of New York Appointed Depositary for Patni Systems, Ltd.’s Listed Program

NEW YORK, December 19, 2005 – The Bank of New York, a global leader in securities servicing, has been appointed by Patni Computer Systems, Ltd. as depositary bank for its American depositary receipt (ADR) program. One Patni ADR represents two equity shares. The ADRs trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “PTI.” Patni Computer Systems, Ltd. is listed on The Bombay Stock Exchange Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited.
