The Bank of New York Named Top International Trustee

NEW YORK, February 27, 2006 - The Bank of New York, a global leader in securities servicing, has been named the number one trustee for all international bond issues for the third quarter of 2005 by Thomson Financial, a leading provider of financial technology and information.  This is the Bank’s third consecutive quarter in the top international position.

The Bank also received number one international rankings in investment grade bonds (excluding medium term takedowns), high yield bonds, structured finance issues, and emerging market issues.  In addition, the Bank moved up to the number two position for CDOs.
